Extremely difficult variant to the summit of the 3146 m high Piz Trovat with great distant views

The via ferrata Piz Trovat II was only opened in July 2011 and is one of the most difficult via ferratas in the Alps. It is a real highlight for experienced, fit and strong ferratista. Together with its older brother, the Piz Trovat I, it is one of the two most courageous tests in the Engadine. The via ferrata leads up to the summit of Piz Trovat (3146 m) via a spectacular rope bridge, a 35-metre-long ropeway, numerous slippery slabs and the famous Biceps Wall, an extremely steep passage 300 m above sea level. There, a spectacular view of the Pers Glacier, the highest mountains in the Eastern Alps and the wonderful Bernina Massif awaits the ferratista.
