The ascent ranges from very easy (K1) to moderate (K3) in terms of technical difficulty and required fitness. After the steep initial ladder, there is an easy climb on fairly flat rock on the NW buttress. Then, after the more relaxing Cambrena section, you cross the gorge on the rope bridge. From the almost vertical headwall, you can enjoy a spectacularly deep view down to the Pers Glacier, and then take the easy path of stone slabs to the summit of Piz Trovat at 3,146 metres above sea level.

The approach: The Diavolezza cable car takes you up to 2978 m. From the top station, a little path takes you in about 20 minutes down to the start at the foot of the Piz Trovat face.

The descent: You descend via the north-east ridge, across rough terrain and scree. There are some very steep sections, so you need to be sure-footed. Follow the signs for the Berghaus Diavolezza to arrive at its inviting sunshine terrace.

If there is a risk of thunderstorms, keep away from ironwork and quickly look for safe shelter at a sufficient distance away from the via ferrata.
Do not cause any rock falls and be considerate towards other climbers.
Check your partner at the start (helmet, climbing harness and energy absorbing lanyard).
Maintain sufficient distances (only one person between two fixed points).
Do not leave the via ferrata and always use the safety rope.
Protect fauna and flora. Take your rubbish away with you.
Children (below 40 kg): The via ferrata set and harness (or combiharness) must be appropriate for the weight of the child.
