33.01 Thusis - Tiefencastel, Via Albula/Bernina
This stage tour offers a beautiful exploration of the canton of Graubünden. In addition to Domleschg, we pass through the Upper Engadine and end at the lake in Val Poschiavo.
Alongside numerous castles and castles in the first few days, the trail also leads into the high alpine mountains with numerous, dreamlike mountain lakes.
In addition to the beautiful landscape, we also explore all 3 languages in Graubünden: Swiss German at the beginning, then Romansh and finally Italian.
Besides the Bernina Pass, the origin of the river that gives the Albula region its name is probably a highlight.

Details of the route description are given on the individual stages
.We start the tour in Thusis, after the first day we reach the village of Tiefencastel, known as a starting point for high alpine hikes. On the second day we set off for Filisur üvia Alvaneu Bad. After reaching our stage destination in Bergün on the 3rd day, we can take a breather in Preda on the 4th day after a shorter stage. The 5th day with the pass crossing is probably the most strenuous and ends in Spinas. The 6th day gives us time to make up for the exertions with a shorter stage, we pass the villages of Bever, Samedan and Celerina and end up on the outskirts of St. Moritz. Day 7 continues through the valley to Pontresina, but day 8 is very demanding again, as we climb the Bernina Pass. Now we have reached the Italian-speaking Val Poschiavo and make our last stop in Cavaglia.
