The tour starts at Pontresina railway station and follows the mountain bike trail until shortly after Surovas railway station. Left over the bridge and over the road, the trail leads on the other side of the valley towards the Bernina Pass. At Bernina Suot station, a gravel road branches off into Val da Fain. The road climbs gently up the valley to Alp La Stretta, after which it is only a single trail up to the pass. The descent down to the Livigno pass road requires skill (steep, narrow hiking trail). Further out of the valley you will reach Livigno. The trail passes above the village and flows into the Valle di Federia. A gravel road leads in a wide zigzag up to the Rifugio Cassana. Shortly afterwards the pass Chaschauna is reached. The following descent also requires experience. At Alp Chaschauna the trail joins the alpine road leading to S-chanf. At Vaüglia Suot the trail crosses the bridge and always in the forest, passing the villages of S-chanf and Zuoz, it reaches Chamues-ch. Follow the signposted Innradweg, past the Gravatscha Lake, to Punt Muragl and then on to the starting point in Pontresina.
